The titans are: Chlorella, (Blue/Green algae) Spirulina, and Wheatgrass

Lately I have been weary of all my supplements, wanted to scale back and simplify. We are bombarded with health and healing information, (outside mainstream media) and even a good thing like this can become too much.

Let's say for the sake of argument that you agree to eat only ONE "superfood" a day. I would suggest an avocado. It is continually voted #1 superfood on the planet, providing vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids. It is especially important for vegans and vegetarians, who need to work harder to get the right oils and fatty acids that meat eaters get from meat.

What about supplements?

A daily food grade multi-vitamin. multi-mineral is a must.

If you take one single vitamin on top of it, Dr. Joan Larsson, pioneering ortho-molecular healer, told me personally that Vitamin C is the "king" of all the vitamins. So if you forget all else, remember C. If possible, 5,000 mg per day. This will provide outstanding protection from all weakening illnesses and immune disorders, including cold and flu.

For your nervous system, as well as your immune system: B Complex.

For depression, if you struggle with it: Niacin. (3,000 Mg/day) (Non flushing!!)

For overall well being, brain function, regulation of all the body's systems, heart health, and more: High quality Omega 3 fish oil. (1-2 TBSP/day)

The vitamin that is really a hormone that regulates your entire hormonal system and most of us are deficient in: D 3. Very important. At least 2,000 IU a day.

Lastly: Let's say you want to choose ONLY ONE supplement to take each day. Or you are permitted only one, on the desert island you're going to.

Get something from the bright green section of the health food store: The titans are: Chlorella, (Blue/Green algae) Spirulina, and Wheatgrass. These three are absolutely packed, just like our avocado, with protein, minerals, chlorofyll and even essential fatty acids.

This video (yes, we know, he should be wearing a coat) breaks down what the differences between these three super nutrients are, so you can choose one and work it into your daily regimen.

Again, if you do NOTHING else, you will be ahead of the game, as long as you are taking something from the green/blue color spectrum each day.
